Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)

EX-Liquid

Eight Important Facts You Should Know about DEF products

  1. EX LIQUID is a DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) product being offered by Custom Ag Formulators to comply with the January 1, 2010 EPA emission standards
  2. DEF products are a purified Urea based liquid formulated with de-mineralized water. This product is similar to the Urea used in common fertilizer, except it has a much higher purity.
  3. EX LIQUID is non-hazardous. Because it is a purified Urea, it is safe to handle and harmless to the environment. It is nonflammable, stable, and does not require special handling equipment.
  4. DEF products are used to reduce emissions by being introduced to the exhaust system of diesel operated vehicles. These new exhaust systems are called SCR's or Selective Catalytic Reduction systems. SCR's have a separate tank and separate fill point where the DEF liquid can be added.
  5. The SCR system is designed to allow the DEF to be injected into the exhaust during vehicle operation. As the DEF mixes into the SCR system, the Urea reacts with NOx fumes and breaks it down into water vapor and nitrogen. This reduces the harmful oxide of nitrogen emissions to less than .2 g/hp-hr.
  6. DEF liquids in combination with the SCR system will increase engine performance with a combined fuel economy increase of up to 5% over 2007 engine models.
  7. EX LIQUID is a certified DEF product that is available in sizes from 2.5 gallons, 30 gallons, 55 gallons, 275 gallon totes, 330 gallon totes, and bulk.
  8. EX LIQUID is immediately available for shipment to all points throughout the United States.
